11_TECH TOYS
The use of boundary objects in design thinking for a teenage classroom.
Aim – An intervention study using LEGO Education, Meccano & K’nex intends to investigate whether using tech toys within a design thinking process that promotes engagement and creativity, improves outcomes.
Hypotheses – Do the use of boundary objects enhance engagement & creativity in terms of number of skills used for a purposeful outcome (use) and improvement in performance (grades)? Do the use of boundary objects (tech toys) promote knowledge development (Learning outcomes ), knowledge transfer (Application outcomes ) within STEAM disciplines and Non-STEAM?
In collaboration withmy PhD student Shafina Vohra and Dr. Stephen Green from Imperial College London.
–
Funded by the Saudi Scholarship.
